  • yellow Fitover helps with glare - and it's inexpensive, so try it! 4

I was looking for something that would cut glare (both night driving and sunny day sightseeing). My ophthalmologist recommended that I get either yellow-lensed glasses or yellow fit-overs to wear with my prescription glasses. A new pair of prescription lenses is a big buy - so if you're thinking about it, and want to see if they'll really help, buy these inexpensive Fitovers first. I chose these over similar fit-over products because they had the least obtrusive frame, polycarbonate lenses instead of cheaper plastic, and scratch resistance. The side louvers do slightly obscure peripheral vision, but they also provide ventilation, which is essential if you don't want to sweat in the summer or fog up in the winter. The only downside is that you're wearing two pairs of glasses - more weight on your nose and ears, and the nosepiece cannot fit snugly because it's on top of your prescription glasses. But is totally solves the problem of glare from those awful LED headlights that are becoming so common; it cuts the glare completely, and gives them a faint lime-green tint - rather amusing. Be sure to measure your prescription glasses frames, to make sure they'll fit inside the Fitovers.

I find it sets a bit harsh on the bridge of the nose. A bit of cushioning would help. The specifications given appear accurate. I find it does as advertised. I recommend it.
