  • Not good at night in deer country 2

I really, really want to like & wear these glasses... I have a lot of trouble with glare, I have the star-out effect in my Rx glasses and if I drive into the sun or at night long enough I will get the Mother of all headaches from the stress and strain of making sure I am seeing what I need to see when meeting or driving with traffic. These yellow lenses really do help tremendously with that. They cut the glare and star-out effect and all I see is the yellow circles of the headlights, even if they're on bright. It also cuts the sun back enough to prevent squinting. HOWEVER, at night, they also reduce visibility more than is safe because they obliterate detecting movement of deer or other nocturnal animals until they're already in the beams of your headlights which usually is too late to prevent impact unless the critter changes direction. I do think they are very good for pre-dawn, dusk and cloudy, foggy or rainy days and I'm hoping they will work well for snow glare too. The bows are nice and slim and they have a really cool "frog" that attaches to the bows without creating a blob that has to fit behind your ear with your other glasses. We ride motorcycles and if I cinch the "frog" down fairly snug, my glasses don't buffet in the wind. So far, the only thing I really don't care for about the construction of the frames is they touch my eyebrows when I have them seated comfortably and securely so they fog over. They don't adjust or I would tip the top edge down a notch and get them away from my brow. I gave these 2 stars because I don't think I'll get my money's worth out of them, I've already noticed I find them on top of my head or kicking around in the console a lot more often than they're perched on my nose. They definitely have their suitable time frame tho, I just hope I know where they're at when the right time to wear them rolls around.

After searching for a good pair of fitovers for night driving, the Small Aurora polarized Yellow helped greatly for night driving, especially in the rain.
